Chemistry tutor for high school and university students

Hello, my name is Veronica and I am currently a master student of Materials Science and Engineering at Mines ParisTech, Chimie ParisTech and ESPCI. I have previously graduated with a bachelor of science in Chemistry where I tutored students on the domains listed above. I can teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, anything related to Materials Science, or scientific writing. I speak Spanish (native), English (C1), and French (B1).

I believe the fear for Chemistry, although a complicated subject, can be overcome with a simple approach. Normally, students feel blocked with the subject which leads to lack of motivation. When looking at the subject from another point of view, someone who found it impossible can quickly learn to love chemistry.

My way of teaching first includes telling me with previous notice (about 4 days) what the subjects are so I can prepare information from books into a hand out. The student must read the hand out previous to the class to be more familiar with the topic. During or at the end of the class, I like to perform Wooclaps or Kahoots to make sure that the student understood the concepts.

In case it is a homework/project assignment I have no problem with solving it with the student. I can work in person or from Zoom, where I can explain the student with my tablet how to solve the exercises.

I am a very calm person, with a lot of patience! I also do not believe in stupid questions, so please do not be afraid to ask me a hundred times that you have not understood.
