*ABOUT ME*
Hi, I am Zaina, and I am from Palestine. I have been learning English since I was 4 years old. While I still consider Arabic to be my native language, English comes in as a very close second, as I speak it fluently. As a bachelor's student, I worked in English tutoring for two years. I was also a volunteer at the Language Resource Center at my university, leading English classes for intermediate English learners.
I am a professional English debater. I have won global awards from universities like Oxford, Harvard, Dartmouth, and many more. I debated in the native speakers division in all of the debate tournaments. This, in particular, has honed my vocabulary in specialized subjects such as politics, economy, social activism, gender and identity, and much more.
*CLASS STRUCTURE*
During the class, the main goal is to practice sentence structure, vocabulary, and pronunciation through relaxed conversations. Depending on the student's level, these topics can vary from daily activities to complex social issues. In my free introductory class, I will discuss with you your preferences and craft the classes accordingly.
Classes are conducted through Zoom or Google Meet, depending on your preference. I usually offer 60-minute classes, however we can arrange for cutomized durations.
I maintain a supportive atmosphere during all classes, with patience and kindness. I have tutored students suffering from social and generalized anxiety, so I welcome any student struggling with the same challenges to overcome their fear with me.
*INTRODUCTORY CLASS*
I offer 30-minute sessions for free before confirming any classes. It is important to identify whether I will be a suitable teacher for your needs, so I highly encourage you to join me on Zoom or Google Meet to get to know each other a little better.
*CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING*
I am open to cancellations up to 12 hours before classes. If you are unable to notify me 12 hours in advance due to an emergency, we can discuss the matter and arrange a full refund.
