Economics teacher in Bordeaux - I give lessons in-person and online

I am an economics student, currently in my third year at Heriot-Watt University and am currently on track for a first. I have long been passionate about France and the French language. I performed well at school achieving an 8 at GCSE (A* equivalent) before pursing other subjects. Although I do not have much formal experience teaching I have always found time to mentor and teach younger students, whether this is at school, scouts or university. I excel at translating concepts and ideas into simpler terms. Once I have done this I question them on the idea and then build to a more complex concept.
My knowledge in economics is extensive; I studied economics in school, achieving a B at A-level, I am now studying it at university and am currently on track for a 1st class degree. I am very passionate about economics and spend a lot of my free time learning about its intricacies and history. This includes reading the various works of Milton Friedman, Daniel Kahneman and Steve Keen. I feel as though economics has the power to change the world and bestowing that on a younger generation is both a great responsibility to have and something I feel necessary to learn in my life.
My career ambitions are to go into the field of economic consulting and learn more about how economics translates into real-world application. I hope to gain a masters in the field of applied economics/econometrics so that I gain greater insight into how to fix pressing issues like climate change, the advent of AI and global inequality.
