I'm a 2020 Sciences Po graduate, looking for an opportunity to develop my teaching skills, as I am pursuing professorship roles in social studies. I’m passionate about children's learning and development, and am a native English teacher, raised in British and American English.
I'm a bilingual French speaker. I went to the French school of Johannesburg from 2003 (age 7) to 2007 (age 13).
I love learning learning languages. In Elementary and Primary school, I acquired Spanish, Igbo, French and Afrikaans, in my Bachelors, Arabic, and in my Masters, Portuguese.
These diverse range of language-learning experiences have allowed me to learn the importance of adapting your teaching style to the student, and of using a wide variety of examples, formulations and contexts when explaining and demonstrating a new idea.
I have also developed my teaching skills throughout my personal life as an eldest sister of a sisters and a brother that are 10 to 14 years younger than me.
I tought my sister, Spring, 17 years, how to read who she was 4. This fundamental advantage allowed her to be a straight A student her whole school career.
I have also been a babysitter for Parisian children in 2015, where I assisted French and English homework assignments. I learned the importance of child-led learning, emotional support and most importantly energy!
