I am a native English speaker and have experience in teaching for the past two years. I have also been writing and doing public speaking for about 7 years and have a command over the formal and informal asaspects of the language. Being an extrovert, I am able to connect to my students and make them feel comfortable which I feel is the most important thing in any learning process. I have devised a technique that I have used with many of my students which has given me good results. The first step according to me to learn any language is to start by thinking in it. That I feel is the most important step towards reaching a certain proificiency in the language and also getting comfortable with it. I do not use any textbook and instead focus on having conversations about the routine topics and about things and thoughts that one has everyday. Something as simple as talking about ones day can really make someone open up. I have methods of teaching for all levels and make it a point to connect with all kinds of students and helping them however I can. I have been a teacher and a student both and know how important it is to have a bond between them to help facilitate the learning process and also be a better teacher. I also feel that I am able to connect with people my age better and help hem overcome confidence issues an also give them accent training.
