I am a qualified English teacher with experience. I love teaching English and enjoy sharing my knowledge with others. I am patient, encouraging and will work at your pace - however, I will challenge you to do better! I think learning a new language is very rewarding and fulfilling.
I use technology in my lessons - games, pics, videos etc.I like to use humour in my lessons because when we are happy we learn easier and more.
I listen to my students and will fit in their interests and likes wherever possible. When we are interested in what we are learning, and can see the benefits, then we are easily encouraged.
The English language is one of the most widely used languages in the world today and it is a benefit to be able to communicate in this beautiful language - the stories, proverbs, idioms and sayings are often humurous, interesting and never dull. They are rich and add layers of meaning to our communication.
The format of my lessons will include reading, speaking and writing. The more we speak, the better our pronunication will become and the easier we will be understood. As we read, our speaking improves, and so does our vocabulary. Writing English is central to communication and, like many things in life, perfect practise makes perfect. I will give you plenty of opportunities to practise!
