i have different methods for my lessons. For the kids, i use toys representing food for example, i can use cards as well, draws, and i can play with them using short words in French. They need to feel confident, so for the kids' lessons. i recommend face to face at my place and only for 30 min. About the adults, it can be online or face to face, the most of the time i dedicate half an hour for the conversation if possible ( it depends the level of the student), then the other half an hour i teach the grammar with a lesson and exercices. i use as material and support video, audio, books... i can provide homeworks as well, some of my students like homeworks, it can be grammar works or i ask them to be creative and they can write about them for example, a story in the past, to use the past tense. The ideal is to work every day 10/15 min to progress and the repetition is essential to memorise. The atmosphere of my lessons is very friendly, no pressure, no stress, just the pleasure to learn. i like to feel my students comfortable and i like the mistakes as well because it is the best way to memorise and improve the knowledges and the confidence. i know how it is difficult to learn a foreign language. I remember when i came here in England, the first month, i was desesperate because my level in English was low... And step by step i succeded to learn and to be more confident, i gained more than knowledges, maybe more freedom !
