I have taught English to students of different ages form 8 to 18 years old at schools and older ages at universities. I have also been a teacher for a Teacher Training center in my city, instructing teachers of different feilds of study. After spending about 30 years of teaching in various educational settings, I got retired and strated to teach online. Since then, I have had students from different countries with different learning goals, but most of my students have been from Italy, Spain, Turkey and east countries such as China, south Korea. They have had a variety of learning goals. To name a few, some wanted to take international tests like IELTS or Cambridge, some wanted to improve their English for their own businesses and there were some learners who intended to improve their general English. As an English teacher, I have tried to tailor my teaching methodology with what they required me. Therefore, not a single methodology worked in every class. and I had to find out exacly which methods and materials worked best for them. For example, a student who wanted to take the IELTS had to work on all four skills, but usually they asked me to teach them only productive skills, namely speaking and writing. They were able to practice listening and reading by themselves. As a result, I strived to teach them materials they needed and found out which areas they had the most problems with. I worked with them and found their weaknesses, correct them and taught them accordingly.
