Marie Lagadec

Presentation
My name is Marie Lagadec, and I am 29 years old. I obtained the Diploma of Aptitude for Teaching French as a Foreign Language (DAEFLE) in 2025 through the Alliance Française in Paris. I currently work as a French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teacher in several organisations in Dijon, both as an employee and as a self-employed contractor : the La Passerelle community centre in Quetigny and the training organisation APSALC. I also give private lessons at home for all levels. Furthermore, I have four years’ professional experience in the fields of communications and marketing. This unique combination of expertise enables me to offer specialised support in business French.

Methodology
I use a wide variety of high-quality textbooks depending on my students' specific goals, including Objectif Express, Edito, and 100% FLE Essential French Grammar. For specialized profiles, I also integrate "MaClé Alpha A1.1" for literacy and beginners, as well as "Les 500 Exercices de phonétique" (Hachette FLE) for pronunciation. Furthermore, I leverage AI tools like Gemini to create tailor-made, interactive exercises. I strictly follow the action-oriented approach : this involves placing the learner at the centre of the learning process and encouraging them to take action through practical written and oral tasks, real-life simulations, and engaging role-playing.

Teaching philosophy
I teach in a collaborative manner with all learners. I do not practise top-down teaching, which involves imparting knowledge without taking into account what learners already know. On the contrary, I draw on learners’ existing knowledge during lessons : explaining a word, working with learners to formulate a grammar rule, and sharing their experiences related to the lesson’s theme (cooking, travel, etc.). I believe that learning a language should be an empowering, positive, and stress-free experience. My goal is to build your confidence, help you overcome the fear of speaking, and guide you toward complete linguistic autonomy.
