Hi! I’m Marlysa.

My French lessons are fully personalised and mainly designed for English-speaking beginners who want to learn French step by step in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Each lesson usually starts with a dialogue or a short text based on real-life situations. First, I read the text at a natural speed, then I read it again more slowly to help students hear the pronunciation clearly. After that, the student reads the text too so we can practice pronunciation together.

Then, we study the new vocabulary and expressions from the lesson. I explain the meaning of the words in a simple and accessible way. We also work on grammar and conjugation progressively. I do not teach full conjugation tables all at once because I do not want students to feel overwhelmed. Instead, we focus only on the verb forms that appeared in the dialogue or text.

My lessons also include many fun and interactive exercises such as:

* image cards,
* vocabulary games,
* pronunciation exercises,
* translation activities,
* fill-in-the-blank dialogues,
* speaking practice.

At the end of each lesson, we have a small conversation in French using the vocabulary and grammar we just learned. This helps students become more comfortable speaking naturally.

During the first lesson, I ask questions to better understand the student’s goals, interests and priorities. Every learning programme is different because every student is different.

My goal is to make French feel less intimidating and help students gain confidence while enjoying the learning process.
