Ufuoma

Hello! My name is Ikpekri Ufuoma, I am from Lagos, Nigeria. I am a Masters degree holder in Theatre Arts and a certified teacher with an NCE certificate in Theatre Arts/English Language. I am a language and behavioural therapist.
Over the years, I have worked in a multilingual school and other schools which ignited my passion teaching and sharing knowledge and experience.
I have also worked learners with learning challenges like dyslexia.
As an ESL teacher, I am experienced in teaching learners online and offline. My classes are fun and interactive.
We learn using games, rhymes, flashcards, charts, props, and storytelling.
I also teach using the Total Physical Response method. This helps learners remember words easily and build confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
My lessons are focused on also building learners' grammar, vocabulary development, sounds, and public speaking.
I have been teaching for over eight years, and it is truly rewarding to see my learners grow and excel both mentally and academically. I focus on a holistic approach to learning, which includes addressing the mental and emotional well-being of my learners alongside their academic growth, not letting their special challenges slide out. Believing every learner, learns at a different pace and also have his or her own strength and learns differently, classes a learners centered and detailed.
I make use of a lot of examples and real life experiences and as well listen to my learners.
