Hello!

My name is Yuriy, and I am glad to welcome you to my page! I am a playing pianist and a private teacher of piano, synthesizer and music theory.

Training takes place on a concert grand piano Estionia with excellent sound.

Work experience

I have been working for over ten years with children from 4 years old and adults. Both with those who study for themselves, and with those who need help in development or professional preparation for exams at a children's music school, college, university.

I can help with:

* playing your favorite pieces
* learning various genres (classical, pop, pop, rock, jazz, boogie-woogie, etc.)
* mastering all types of piano techniques
* musical notation, music theory, solfeggio
* preparing for professional exams or performances

My approach

I use an individual approach in my work, first of all I start from what the student needs, I listen to him, I look for an approach to help him improve his playing level. I consider this to be key in the learning process.

The form of work, pieces, genres, the pace of learning, the depth of immersion, every question that arises - everything is decided individually and based on the benefit for your goals and your desires, and not in any particular lesson, but in each one.

The lessons are adapted to the age of the student. Children usually prefer a game approach: a minimum of theory and a maximum of play.

Education and achievements

I started my education at the Stasov Music School in Moscow (piano), and then continued at the Ippolitov-Ivanov Music and Pedagogical College (piano). I received a bachelor's degree from the Jerusalem Academy of Music (piano). I am a diploma winner of the Moscow Piano Competition of Romantic Music (2018), and also a multiple participant in various concerts with solo and ensemble programs.

I have more than 7 years of personal psychoanalytic work experience, which allows me to delve into the details of each student in detail.

Work online

Everything is the same as in person, due to detailed explanations and demonstration. I have several professional webcams for a view from different sides of my hands and seat (including from above), as well as several microphones so that you can hear and see both my voice and playing with high quality.

I started training with Yuri in mid-February this year. I graduated from music school 7 years ago, I wanted to remember some works and learn something new. Yuri is a good teacher, a lot of time was devoted to working on sound quality, correct hand placement and musicality. Plus, we talked a lot about what is behind the music. In general, Yuri teaches not to play thoughtlessly, but to understand music. Plus, there are also recommendations of which pianists to listen to. The tool is good, tuned. Recommended!

You know, I didn't expect that you could actually do online lessons with hand positioning. In my opinion, Yuri gives an exhaustive theoretical part. He listens very carefully and looks at the equipment, immediately gives feedback. If he sees that something turned out to be incomprehensible, he explains again, selecting other examples. I'm satisfied. I continue my lessons.
