Professeur d'anglais expérimenté, de langue maternelle anglaise et qualification CELTA

I am an experienced native English language teacher available to teach students of all levels and ages. I deliver engaging and fun lessons, tailored to the student’s specific needs whether it be for work, school, personal development or fun. I have experience helping children and teenagers who are studying for school exams. I have prepared students for IELTS and Cambridge English language tests. I tailor my lessons to each student and their goals. I use a communicative approach, but can focus on grammar and other aspects if this what the student needs.

Now for some information about me. I am a native English speaker from Ireland (with a neutral accent), and I completed my CELTA qualification in 2013 which has allowed me to teach English as a foreign language. I am lucky to have worked as a teacher in different countries such as Vietnam, Mexico, and Spain. In addition to having taught English as a foreign language, I used to work as a paediatric nurse and in various social support roles with charities and local authorities. I have a degree in nursing and Masters in Health Promotion. I believe my previous experience brings a lot to my role as a teacher and I love to engage in meaningful, interesting conversations with my students while helping them learn the language. I am currently learning French, and I have previously studied Spanish, so I understand the difficulties of learning a new language.
