I am a TEFL Level 5 certified English teacher with over 4 years of experience teaching children, teenagers, and adults across all proficiency levels. I studied and lived in Australia for 7 years, which gave me a strong international English foundation and a natural, fluent teaching style that students respond to comfortably. My background in linguistics and published research in language also means I can explain the reasons behind English rules in a way that makes them stick, not just the rules themselves. Introductory Text: My lessons are built around you. Before we begin, I take time to understand your current level, your goals, and what has made learning English difficult for you in the past. From there, every lesson is planned with your specific progress in mind. I follow a communicative approach, which means we spend most of our time together actually using English rather than just studying it. We practise through real conversations, structured speaking exercises, grammar in context, and activities that reflect situations you will genuinely encounter. You learn by doing, not just by listening. I have over 4 years of experience teaching learners of all ages, from young children to working adults, across beginner to advanced levels. I also spent 7 years living and studying in Australia, which shaped how I teach fluency and natural expression. I hold a TEFL Level 5 certification accredited by a UK government-recognised awarding body, as well as a degree in English Language and Literature with Distinction. My areas of strength include spoken English and confidence building, grammar and vocabulary development, academic English, and exam preparation. I also have a background in linguistics research, which helps me explain the reasoning behind language rules in a way that actually makes sense to students.
