My approach is to listen to you, understand how you learn best, and find out which languages you know—so that I can do some research to figure out which sounds you’ve always been able to produce, and prepare personalized, respectful materials. I am able to create a calm learning environment. My current approach to teaching languages is simple and flexible (for you; for me, it will require some effort, and that’s fine because I love teaching). My qualities are being patient, pragmatic, flexible, and empathic. In addition, let me share a few simple rules that will change the way you view learning Italian. What if I told you that, generally speaking, abstract concepts are grammatically feminine (justice, hunger, the victim, victory, etc.)—not because of sexism, but because Proto-Indo-European used the “feminine” for abstract things. This convention carried over into Latin and was inherited by Italian. Boom—you no longer have to memorize the genders of abstract concepts.
