Experienced English Tutor with experience of French language and culture

My name is Aemilia, known as Em or Emily.

I have taught English as a Foreign Language for seven years, since 2016.

My clients over the years have included adults and children of all abilities, from many different countries, from Vietnam to Poland.

In addition to teaching English as a Foreign Language, I have supported students in GCSE and A Level exams in the English curriculum.

My intention is to give you the best experience possible; to tailor lessons to your specific requirements, to offer more than you expect, and for us to work in a happy, friendly, mutually motivated manner.

I like to keep learning activities varied, even for adults - with games, conversation activities, tests and a mixture of speaking, writing, reading and listening tasks. If you have specific requirements, for example if you want to focus on speaking only, I can devise lessons dedicated purely to this.

I am passionate about the English language; about sharing the correct way of speaking, as well as the many nuances and habits of everyday conversation, accents and dialects that originate from different parts of the English-speaking world; sharing phrases and anecdotes, too.

Additionally, I have a love of France and the French language that hopefully should serve well in me supporting you learning English in your home country.
