At the beginning of the first class, I analyze the student needs and goals, as well as their current level of Spanish proficiency. This will help me to tailor the instructions to their specific needs and create a personalized learning plan.
Once I have a clear understanding of the student needs and goals, I work with them to set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals. This will help the student stay motivated and track their progress over time.
I also introduce new vocabulary and grammar structures in a systematic way, using a combination of visual aids, written materials, and spoken examples. We’ll practice exercises that reinforce new vocabulary, such as flashcards, matching games, or sentence completion exercises.
Speaking and Listening Practice: I encourage the student to speak as much as possible, providing feedback and correction as needed. I’ll incorporate listening comprehension exercises, such as listening to audio recordings or watching videos.
Reading and Writing Practice: I’ll provide opportunities for the student to practice reading and writing in Spanish, using a variety of materials such as news articles, short stories, or poems. Give feedback on writing samples and work on improving grammar and sentence structure.
Cultural Immersion: I’ll introduce the student to the culture and customs of Spanish-speaking countries, incorporating authentic materials such as music, movies, and food. This will help the student understand the language in context and become more fluent in real-world situations.
