English Teacher specializing in spoken English

As a child, I often dressed up and played teacher with my dolls, always finding silly things to teach about. As an adult, I have developed my passion and skill for teaching into a career that has led me to apply for this position. I have my 160 Hour TEFL certificate as well as 40 Hour TEYL certificate. I am also in my final year of studies at the University of Johannesburg, after which I will obtain my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. My goal is to become a lecturer at a university and continue carrying out my passion for teaching. With 3 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language, I have had the opportunity to teach a diverse group of students. From students as young as 4 years old to as old as 60+ as well as students ranging from level A1-C2, I have gained the skills and knowledge to cater to every unique individual's needs in the classroom. I have had experience preparing students for various exams including IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, KET, PET, FCE, CAE, and CPE. Additionally, I have experience teaching business English and general English, both of which target all competencies including reading comprehension, listening comprehension, speaking, and writing. I strive to create a productive, comfortable and rich environment for my students to learn and grow their English skills. I hope to make a difference in the lives of my students by helping them reach their English goals.
