Salut! Je suis Laureen, une professeure de français du sud de la France qui a vécu en Angleterre puis au Canada pendant quelques années. J'ai de l'expérience avec les enfants, les adultes et le français des affaires. Je propose des cours conviviaux axés sur l'expression orale à travers des jeux, des chansons, des jeux de rôle et un peu de grammaire pour comprendre la langue. Mais pas seulement ! Je vais aussi plus loin en vous aidant à comprendre la culture et l'humour français. Je sais comment vous motiver, vous encourager et vous aider à atteindre vos objectifs ! Le premier cours consiste à faire connaissance (en parlant français bien sûr) et à tester votre niveau mais vous apprendrez déjà de nouvelles choses ! En plus de mes cours, j'utilise de nombreuses ressources authentiques: vidéos, musiques, enregistrements, magazines, ... Je vous aide également à fixer des objectifs réguliers et à les atteindre en dehors de nos cours hebdomadaires. Enfin, parler ne servirait à rien sans une bonne prononciation. Nous travaillerons là-dessus aussi. Je participe souvent à des cours ou des ateliers pour améliorer mes techniques d'enseignement car même si un professeur est expérimenté, je pense qu'il faut toujours trouver des moyens de progresser et de s'adapter aux besoins de ses élèves.

Salut! I'm Laureen, a French teacher from the South of France who recently moved back to France after years living abroad In deed, I’ve lived in London and Canada but it’s the Pyrenees I like to call home. Back in London I used to have my own languages school and most of my students are from the UK or Canada. I am experienced with children, adults and business teaching. So far, I have helped individuals to speak French for travel purposes, children with their homework, bilingual families, young students to enter prestigious schools such as Cambridge and Oxford and big companies such as LVMH. My courses are focused on making you speak French as much as possible. Each lesson, no matter your level, will start with a chat. Like two friends chatting around a glass of wine or coffee. I created a method based on my experience of learning another language and my 8 years of teaching. I know the struggle it represents but I know how to make it fun. All curriculums are available online and in person. I also go further by helping you understand the French culture and humour. I know how to motivate you, encourage you and help you reach your goals! The first lesson is about assessing your level and getting to know each other (through French speaking of course). I believe a core part of learning is through your relationship with your teacher, hence why I'm genuinely interested in getting to know you further. à bientôt! Laureen

Laureen was my tutor for approximately a year while I learned French for work. She is incredibly patient and was able to explain a variety of concepts in a way that I was able to follow, understand, and then apply to my day-to-day interactions in French at work. Learning with Laureen became a highlight of my week and I would look forward to our lessons because of the genuine interest and effort that she puts in to helping her students learn French but also to apply it in a manner that suits them and matches each individual learner's context. I can’t recommend Laureen and her teaching style enough!!! For anyone who’s even struggled with conjugation or memorising the tricky parts of a language - Laureen has you covered! It makes teaching fun yet rewarding and is by far the best one to learn a language for anyone of any age!
