My lessons follow a simple structure. We start with a warm-up to get comfortable speaking, move into a short focused topic (grammar point, vocabulary theme, or real-world scenario), then spend most of the time actually using the language, through conversation, role-play, or guided exercises, rather than passive drilling. I adjust the balance depending on age and level: younger children get more games, songs, and repetition-based play, since that's how early language acquisition actually works; teens and adults get more structured conversation practice, error correction, and real-life application (travel, work, exams).
I don't follow a rigid textbook path. I build lessons around what the student actually needs to progress, drawing on my background in child development and language acquisition to keep the pace and method appropriate to how the student learns best. Every session ends with a quick recap so the student leaves with something concrete they've gained, not just a vague sense of "we talked."
