Description des cours
I an a native English-speaker from Los Angeles, CA and I hold a degree in psychology with a specialization in child development from UC Berkeley. I taught English at École Bilingue de Berkeley, where I worked with young bilingual learners every day. I'm also currently studying neuroscience, which gives me real insight into how children acquire and process language, so I can adapt my teaching to how kids actually learn, not just what a textbook assumes.
My classes are structured around the student: I start with a short assessment to understand their level and goals, then build lessons that mix conversation, games, and structured practice so language feels natural rather than forced. For younger children, I lean on play and repetition; for older students, I focus more on confidence in real conversation and correcting patterns rather than isolated mistakes. Every lesson ends with a clear takeaway so progress is visible, not vague.
Finally, I am a language learner myself. Learning French while living in France has shown me the ups and downs of language learning and where students get stuck. This experience makes me a compassionate and sharp teacher.
