Dear learners,

My name is Emmanuel, I am a 40-year-old French father of two bilingual children, currently based in Montpellier, France.

My goal is to help you improve your French language skills and for you to enjoy yourself while doing so!

I taught French as a foreign language at an Alliance Française in Cape Town, South Africa, where I was also the Media Librarian. There, I lead several conversation classes for all ages, mostly for people with good to very good level of French. I used various medium and material in order to keep these classes engaging and fun. As homework, my students would be asked to read, and we would discuss our opinion on what we had read. Sometimes we would watch a video and launch a debate about it. Other times, we would do riddles, guessing games, attempt to describe something, hone our vocabulary on a specific topic, etc.

I also taught young to very young learners (grade 2 to 5), following a FLE method, which would help them progress step by step and give them a very basic first exposure to the language.

Finally, I taught private classes with different aims: prepare a learner for a French test, help with school French homework, assist a professional to use his French method more efficiently, etc.
